#SinfulSunday- G-strings and bling

This week for Sinful Sunday I show you another one of my creative outlets…

…you know besides stripping off to music in front of crowds. *giggle*

Lately I have been learning how to rhinestone fabric. I have a lot of g-strings and underwear that come from various vendors I use as free gifts when I buy lingerie or corsets. Usually they aren’t even close to my size but who can throw out a freebie? Well now that I have an entire bag of things I decided maybe I could convert them to something a bit fancier and perhaps sell them. Luckily my burlesque mum taught me how to do some rhinestone tricks and through a bit of trial and error I have figured out how to make rhinestone patterns so here are some pics of this creative endeavor.

First we have the bag of things to bling

Up next is my first project which is a WIP. The base of the crown is uneven b/c my trial and error with the rhinestone pattern ended with the bottom of the crown not converting and I tried to free hand it. Oh well. It’s through these things we learn and next time I know how to get the whole pattern on without drama.

My goal is to be able to bling a number of things like my dear burlesque mum. Just look at these thrift store shoes she hand beaded the heels on! She gave them to me despite them not being my size at all and before I sell them on, I keep them on my work table to inspire me. I am also learning how to paint high heeled soles so that they look like Louboutin styled soles (no reds though as I am reasonably certain he has the patent and I prefer other colors anyways).IMG_0534 IMG_0535

I love that you’re re purposing G strings rather than let them go to waste. As for the red patent on heels there was a case in the U.S. a few years back on that very topic but don’t recall the outcome.

Thanks so much :) Seriously so many places I order from include g-strings or panties with the order as a free gift but I don’t use g-strings and the places that send underwear usually have really small sizes and I couldn’t fit one thigh in a free pair let along my rump. Still fabric is fabric and someone will want it at some time. No sense in wasting anything.

But yeah I prefer blues, greens, purples and the likes…he can have his red incredibly $$$$ heels. I can’t wear heels anyways.

That is freaking awesome, if I tried this myself it would not come out right I am not too creative. Hey can I ship you a pair and you do a crown for me? I hope to see more stuff from you what you have done for just getting started is adorable.

I could do that for the price of shipping and materials. Luckily I have the rhinestone hook up when it comes to good deals. I wish I had more pictures but my day job is very time consuming. But yeah if you think the first shot work WIP is awesome it only gets better as learning techniques go up. Email me at spacebunny@spacebunnykink.net and we can discuss. You provide the knickers and it shouldn’t be particularly pricey at all.

Everyone has one. You have taken photos and that’s creative. I just thought rhinestoning looked like something I could do because I make my own stencils for my burlesque costumes when I did fabric paints so I figured once I mastered the technique rhinestoning would be similar. It has it’s differences but once you get a patter on the fabric it’s much easier.

You are much more talented with your fingers than I am; I would end up with a mess! ;-)

Trade secret: placing glue and rhinestones doesn’t have too much to do with the fingers overall. Especially when you have the right sort of tools. *shhhh* Don’t tell anyone.

It can be fun and soothing. It can also be very irritating and hard on the eyes. Depends on the day really *laughs*
